Junior Herbalist Club

🗓 Monthly

What is it?

The Junior Herbalist Club is a monthly hands-on herbal education program, exploring medicinal plants, gardening and natural science with children.

Who is it for?

Children from around age 7 who are curious about plants, gardens and how natural remedies work — and families drawn to a gentler, nature-connected kind of science.

Beginner friendly?

Yes. No gardening or plant knowledge is assumed.

What do children usually do?

Children work directly with plants — learning to identify them, understanding their traditional uses, and taking part in gardening and hands-on herbal activities.

What should parents expect?

Expect a monthly session rather than a weekly commitment, which makes it easy to fit alongside everything else. It's a lovely, low-pressure way to add botany and natural science to your year.

Why Homeschool Link recommends it

Monthly programs are wonderfully manageable — enough to build real knowledge over a year, without adding pressure to your week. And children who learn plants tend to look at every walk differently afterwards.

Why families appreciate it

Families appreciate the calm pace and the way children start noticing and naming plants everywhere they go.
