What do children usually do?
Younger children follow Pamela Allen's "Alexander's Outing" through the garden with maths challenges and a rescue mission, then join a First Nations-led session mapping Country and creating nature maps. Older children explore Gadigal Country, seasons, fire management and sustainable gardening, including making microgreen gardens and pollinator drink stations to take home.
What should parents expect?
Expect a structured but lively day in the gardens with clearly separated K–2 and 3–6 programs. First Nations educators and garden staff lead sessions, and parents support their children while experiencing the stories and activities together.
